Andrew Pierce is the director of the Village of Homer's recreation department, and that means he's got a lot of explaining to do.
In an interview with X101's Meet Cortland County, Pierce explains that the town's new Movies on the Green series, which will run from July through September, is "all about bringing people out to the parks and having fun," and that's exactly what he's hoping to do.
One of the first Movies on the Green events will be a free outdoor concert on the lawn in the town's downtown square on July 4, reports the Daily News.
"It's going to be great," Pierce says.
"It's going to be family-friendly, it's going to be great for the kids, and it's going to be a way for the community to come together."
