Midsommar Celebration To Be Held June 22

The American Scandinavian Heritage Foundation is holding its annual Midsommar celebration this weekend, which is the second most celebrated holiday in Sweden behind Christmas.

Midsommar is a celebration of light during the longest sunny days of the year, according to the foundation, which is based in Jamestown, North Dakota.

The American Scandinavian Heritage Foundation is holding a Midsommar celebration on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown.

The event will be held rain or shine, with portions of the program to be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Members and guests are invited to bring wildflowers and greens to help decorate the Maypole at 8:30am.

A breakfast of fruit, muffins, juice, and coffee will be served at 9:30am.

The cost is per person for breakfast and Elva Kaffeaffe, a favorite summer dessert, will be served at 11am. Read the Entire Article
