"Arcadia values authenticity and champions justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion."
That's the philosophy behind a new agreement between Pennsylvania's Arcadia University and Philadelphia's University of the Arts, which will allow UArts students to transfer into Arcadia's Visual and Performing Arts, Creative Writing, and Art Education programs, Philly.com reports.
"The close-knit community of supportive fellow students, faculty, and staff are here to welcome and support UArts students," says June Lee, chair of the Visual and Performing Arts at Arcadia.
"With a wide range of resources and opportunities we offer, students can pursue their artistic passion and find a new academic and creative home at Arcadia University."
Under the new agreement, UArts students transferring to Arcadia will have all their credits accepted for corresponding programs.
Arcadia will waive application fees and ensure no increase in out-of-pocket costs.
The university will also assist with SEPTA costs for Philadelphia commuters and guarantee that students complete their bachelor's degrees on their original timelines.
UArts students can check their degree program's equivalency at Arcadia through online chart.
