"We want Australian culture and creativity to be recognized globally for its innovation, complexity, and diversity," Creative Australia's executive director says.
That's why the country's government is investing $2.15 million in 71 projects that will "support an exciting and diverse range of international arts activity."
The projects include First Nations contemporary dance organization Blakdance traveling to Germany to take part in the largest international gathering for professional contemporary dance, as well as a collaboration between a Japanese arts space and a writer's exchange, the Guardian reports.
