Amy Howse is a sonic therapist, and as part of her new role as the Manx Wildlife Trust's next Biosphere Artist in Residence, she'll be using sound to connect people with the environment in "exciting and thought-provoking ways," says the VP of UNESCO's Biosphere Isle of Man.
Howse's work includes creating sound baths, both indoor and outdoor, using instruments such as gongs and singing bowls, the Guardian reports.
She says it's a "dream come true" to use the "transformative power of sound to deepen people's connection with the natural world."
Howse is the third person to take on the year-long position, which was created in conjunction with the Biosphere Isle of Man and is funded by the Isle of Man Arts Council. Read the Entire Article
