What do you do when your cat poops all over the place? That's the question Marianna Renda and her fellow students at Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture set out to answer in a project they're calling "OkPoopid," PennLive.com reports.
The idea is to transplant the fecal matter of anyone who wants to donate their cat's poop to a lab that can use it to grow new bacteria.
Renda's students, Felecia Davis and Pep Avile, partnered with a lab at Penn State's One Health 2024biome Center to create the app "OkPoopid," PennLive.com reports.
The app allows people to line up speed dates with people who want to donate their cat's fecal matter.
The project was inspired by a devastating mine fire in the small town of Centralia, Pa., where Renda's family lives, PennLive.com notes.
