New research finds pupils in fee-paying schools continue to perform better in creative artsGCSEs than those at state schools.

The attainment gap at GCSE level between pupils who attend fee- paying schools and their state school peers has closed in English, maths and science, once results are adjusted for socioeconomic backgrounds.
