The South Side Artists in Sacred Spaces program pairs artists in need of studio space with places of worship.
The program was launched in 2023 by Arts Alliance Illinois.
University Church received a capital improvement grant, which they have used to install air conditioning in a room that had previously not had appropriate climate control.
For the past year, heas worked out of a studio space on the third floor of University Church.
