Hoboken Youth Receive $85000 in Grants For Innovative Climate Projects

The city first participated in 2024 awarding 11 youth-led projects $50,000 through Bloomberg Philanthropies.

The 2025 Youth Climate Action Fund recipients are: a prototype nuclear fusion reactor, a film festival raising awareness through the arts, a pollinator education campaign and battery recycling and community repair events.

A committee made up of educators, community leaders, city staff, and members of the Youth Advisory Council evaluated and selected the projects for funding.

To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
