Master of Fine Arts Cohort Presents 'Medium Rare,' a Group Exhibition at Unr

When Bailey Anderson graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' three-year Master of Fine Arts program last year, she had no idea she'd be the subject of a viral video that's since gone viral.

That's because, as the Review-Journal reports, she's one of 10 MFA students who've been selected to appear in an upcoming art exhibit at the University of Nevada, Reno.

In MEDIUM RARE, the artists "address gender and the body, queer community, autobiography, motherhood, the language of abstraction, and the surveillance of our everyday lives," according to a press release for the exhibit.

Anderson's video, which can be seen here, features her sitting in a chair, staring at a piece of plywood that reads, "I am a piece of plywood."

It's one of a number of pieces she's made using various materials, including wood, cardboard, acrylic, and Huichol yarn, the press release notes.

She's one of three artists selected to appear in the exhibit, which is part of an exchange program between the UNLV and UNR art programs.

The other two are a pair of grad students from UNLV and a grad student from the UNR art program.
