The community of Inman, Kansas, is putting its money where its mouth is after a tornado struck the area earlier this month.
The Inman News reports that more than $100,000 has been raised for local charities through a silent auction and bake sale.
The money will go to the Inman Public Library, the Inman Museum, the Inman Senior Center, the Inman Recreation Commission, and more.
"This event is an opportunity for organizations to build a strong endowment that will help with permanent funding," says the president of theMcPherson County Community Foundation.
"They will receive immediate funding by leveraging the grant dollars."
