A startup in India is aiming to use artificial intelligence to improve the health of the country's 1.3 billion people.
Posspole has launched the ONE Health initiative, which aims to "practically and sustainably link human, animal, and environmental health," co-founder and CEO Kiran Rudrappa tells India's South First.
Among other things, the company plans to develop "extended-reality devices for operating theaters and conversational AI platforms to enhance patient assessment and outcomes," Rudrappa says.
One of the biggest challenges in India is a lack of reliable data, he adds.
"We realized that while the government has structured efforts to understand and collate data, there's a need for a more democratic system to access and share this data on a wider platform," he says.
Posspole plans to use data analytics and AI to analyze "vast amounts of health data, identify trends, and predict potential health crises," as well as develop "extended-reality devices for operating theaters and conversational AI platforms to enhance patient assessment and outcomes," Rudrappa says.
The company also plans to create a Longevity Experience Center to research and develop solutions that promote healthy aging and extend people's health spans, TechCrunch reports.
